WELSH RAREBIT () - This popular British dish consists of a melted mixture of Cheddar cheese, beer and seasonings, served over toast, the cheese mixture can be toasted on the bread as an alternative. It is usually served as a main course often accompanied with tomatoes.
WONTON (WAHN-tahn) - A Chinese specialty similar to an Italian Ravioli. These bite-size dumplings consist of paper-thin dough pillows filled with a minced mixture of meat, seafood and/or vegetables. Wontons may be boiled, steamed or deep-fried and served as an appetizer, snack or side dish, usually with several sauces. They are, of course, intrinsic to Wonton Soup.
